Tuesday Morning Reflections
It’s a quiet Tuesday morning, and I’ve been up for about 30 minutes—doing one of my favorite things: lying in bed, surrounded by my purring angels. Three of my cat babies are snuggled in close, warm and peaceful.
Last week, I lost my job.
The stress, anxiety, and pain are finally beginning to fade. The comments from others—those who think they know better, who said I should’ve kept my mouth shut and tolerated the verbal abuse—echo less loudly now.
But today, I see it differently.
It wasn’t a loss. It was a gift.
Years ago, I made a vow to myself:
Never again would I allow anyone to mistreat me, to humiliate me, or to make me feel small for standing in my truth.
Still, it’s frustrating—how certain people seem to find me. The ones who poke holes in my confidence, who act as though I’m disposable. Who treat others like their worth is negotiable.
But lately, I’ve come to understand something deeper:
I wasn’t sent into their lives to be diminished.
I was sent as a lesson.
Not a lesson of punishment or revenge, but of opportunity.
A chance for them to rise—to treat someone with kindness, respect, and dignity.
And if they couldn’t do that? Then I was removed.
Not by spite, but by spirit.
The truth is, people like that are not worthy of the gifts I bring.
And what happens to them after I’m gone?
That’s between them and the Divine.
So if you’ve ever wondered why people mistreat those who show up with light—it’s because the presence of light tests their ability to hold it.
Take a moment today to reflect:
Who or what have you outgrown simply by honoring your truth?
And when the noise of doubt creeps in, return to this:
Affirmation:
“I am not here to be tolerated. I am here to be treasured. And if I must walk away to protect my light, then I walk in faith—not fear.”
